3 Ways to de stressing...

We all wish to have a stress free work environment and amicable relationships with co-workers and work associates. One naturally looks for people who agree with you and think like you.
However, that sets you up for unrealistic expectations and disappointments, eventually creating friction. If you are married you may apply the same principle here.

I will share certain pointers that may help you to have a more workable relationship with people who are different than you are. Let's call it, how may chalk and cheese get along

1. DIFFERENT IS GOOD!
Remember people are not meant to be exactly YOU for things to work. Infact if they are different, they add an element to your work or relationship that you cannot be. For example, you may be spontaneous or a risk taker and the other not at all. They may be planners and executors of processes. Hence, they bring an energy of what you cannot naturally do or be but may be required .

2. ALWAYS BE A GOOD LISTENER
This skill developed gradually in me, and is still developing.
I have noticed when people are heard out, they are more receptive to what you have to say. Immediately cutting someone's point of view makes people feel their opinion does not matter. An invalidated person hurts or  fights you back.

3. HAVE CLEAR COMMUNICATION ABOUT YOUR VISION AND REQUIREMENTS
Honor your own knowing without having to invalidate another's knowing. When we speak to the person, it is important to get across that You see their point of view. Yet you have clarity of your perspective. Use less words, make less excuses or justification. Emotional drama to have your point of view accepted does not make your communication clear. "This does not work for me"   can be said without Trauma and Drama

So as simple as these sound, sometimes these simple steps are all it takes. So stay tuned for more.
